Lifetime Warranty

Last updated: March 1, 2026

Every VELUNIQ piece is backed by our free Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty. We stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry for as long as you own it.

1. Warranty Coverage

VELUNIQ warrants that all jewelry sold through veluniq.com is free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product with the original purchaser. This warranty is provided at no additional cost.

What IS Covered (Free of Charge)

  • Prong repair and tightening — recommended annually to ensure stones remain secure
  • Rhodium replating — restores the bright white finish on white gold pieces (recommended every 12–18 months)
  • Structural defects — porosity in the metal, casting flaws, or defective soldering joints
  • Stone tightening — re-securing loose stones caused by setting defects
  • Re-polishing and professional cleaning — restore your piece to its original shine
  • Accent stone replacement — loss of accent diamonds (under 0.05ct) due to a verified setting defect within the first 12 months

What is NOT Covered

Fine jewelry is delicate and not impervious to normal wear, activities, or trauma. The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear — scratches, thinning of metal, or gradual wearing of prongs over time
  • Accidental damage — bending, crushing, impact damage, or exposure to extreme conditions
  • Loss or theft — warranty is not insurance (see insurance recommendation below)
  • Damage from improper care — discoloration from chemicals, chlorine, hot tubs, cleaning agents, or cosmetics
  • Resizing or repairs by third parties — any work performed by a jeweler other than VELUNIQ immediately voids this warranty
  • Stone loss due to negligence — stones that fall out from bent or worn prongs caused by physical impact

Insurance Recommendation

This warranty is not insurance. We strongly recommend obtaining third-party jewelry insurance to protect against loss, theft, and accidental physical damage. Specialized jewelry insurance typically costs 1–2% of the item's value per year.

We recommend Jewelers Mutual for specialized jewelry insurance.

2. Warranty Duration & Eligibility

"Lifetime" means the useful life of the jewelry piece with the original purchaser. This warranty begins on the date of delivery and continues for as long as the original purchaser owns the item, provided the jewelry has been properly maintained and not altered by a third party.

  • Non-transferable: This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owners, gift recipients, or resale buyers.
  • Proof of purchase required: You must provide your original order number or order confirmation email when making a warranty claim.
  • Annual inspection recommended: We recommend having your jewelry professionally inspected by VELUNIQ once per year to maintain prong integrity and catch potential issues early. This service is free.

3. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your jewelry has a manufacturing defect covered under this warranty, follow these steps:

1

Contact Us

Email support@veluniq.com or call (307) 381-4782 to initiate your claim. Include your order number and a brief description of the issue.

2

Provide Photos

Send clear, close-up photos of the issue from multiple angles. This helps our team assess the defect before shipping and expedites the process.

3

Ship for Inspection

Once your claim is approved for inspection, we will provide a prepaid, fully insured shipping label (FedEx or UPS). Pack your item securely in the original packaging if available.

4

Inspection & Resolution

Our master jewelers will inspect your piece within 3–5 business days of receipt. Total repair turnaround time is typically 2–4 weeks (including shipping both ways). We'll keep you updated by email at every stage.

4. Repair vs. Replacement

If our inspection confirms a manufacturing defect covered under this warranty:

RepairWe will repair the item at no charge using the same materials and craftsmanship as the original piece. This is our preferred resolution.
ReplacementIf the item cannot be repaired, we will replace it at no charge with the same item or a comparable item of equal or greater value. If the exact item is discontinued, we will offer the closest available alternative.
Store CreditIf neither repair nor a suitable replacement is possible, we will issue store credit for the full original purchase price to be used toward any future purchase.

The decision to repair, replace, or issue store credit is made at VELUNIQ's sole discretion based on the nature of the defect and product availability.

5. Diamond Certification

Every VELUNIQ lab-grown diamond is independently graded and certified by one of the world's leading gemological laboratories:

IGI

International Gemological Institute

Most common for our lab-grown diamonds

GIA

Gemological Institute of America

Available for select premium stones

Each certificate verifies:

  • Carat weight, cut grade, color grade, and clarity grade (the 4 C's)
  • Exact diamond dimensions and proportions
  • Fluorescence level
  • Unique laser inscription number matching the certificate
  • Confirmation that the diamond is lab-grown (CVD or HPHT method)

Your diamond certificate is included with every purchase and should be kept in a safe place. It is required for warranty claims, diamond upgrades, and insurance purposes.

6. Jewelry Care Instructions

Proper care will keep your VELUNIQ jewelry looking beautiful for a lifetime. Follow these guidelines to maintain your piece:

Daily Care

  • Remove jewelry before swimming, bathing, exercising, cleaning, or applying lotions, perfumes, and hair products
  • Put jewelry on last when getting dressed and take it off first when undressing
  • Avoid contact with chlorine, bleach, ammonia, and other harsh chemicals
  • Wipe gently with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wearing to remove oils and residue

Cleaning at Home

  • Soak in warm (not hot) water with a few drops of mild dish soap for 20–30 minutes
  • Gently brush with a soft-bristle toothbrush, paying attention to the underside of the setting
  • Rinse under lukewarm running water (close the drain first!)
  • Pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth
  • Do not use ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, or abrasive materials at home

Professional Cleaning

We recommend having your jewelry professionally cleaned and inspected by VELUNIQ once per year. This service is free under your lifetime warranty and includes prong inspection, stone tightening check, and ultrasonic cleaning by our master jewelers.

Storage

  • Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box to prevent scratching
  • Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • Do not store jewelry in the bathroom (humidity can cause tarnishing)
  • Use the original VELUNIQ packaging for long-term storage when possible

Lifetime Diamond Upgrade Program

Any diamond purchased from VELUNIQ can be exchanged for credit equivalent to 100% of the original purchase price toward a new, larger diamond.

Conditions:

  • The new diamond must be at least 2x the price of the original diamond
  • The original diamond must be in its original condition with the original grading report (IGI or GIA certificate)
  • Credit applies to the diamond only — the setting is not included in the upgrade credit
  • Upgrade is available once per diamond
